The actress, however, couldn't help but respond to criticism from a pastor over the weekend, taking to Twitter and writing a response that has gone viral.
It's unknown exactly what the religious figure said about Page, but the former Juno star replied as follows:

Page publicly came out of the closet on Valentine's Day via speech at The Human Rights Campaign's Time To Thrive conference in Las Vegas.
"I'm here today because I am gay… and because maybe I can make a difference," she said at the time. "To help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility."
Earlier today, meanwhile, Tyler Glenn (frontman for Neon Trees) also came out as gay. We salute them both.
