Three days after Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin split, the actress offered all of the above in breaking her silence via her Goop lifestyle website.
In an online journal post about chicken dinners, she added a sweet but simple postscript: "P.S. CM and I in deep gratitude for the support of so many."
Paltrow, 41, and Martin, 37, surprisingly announced on Tuesday that they decided to part ways, or, as it has come to be known, "consciously uncouple."
"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate," Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin said in a statement, also appearing on Goop.
"We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us," they said.
Unfortunately, after that period of self-reflection, "we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate."
Prior to the big announcement, the couple escaped to the Bahamas with their two kids, Apple, 9, and Moses, 7, in a trip reportedly wrought with tension.
Both have been romantically linked to others in the last few months too, which they may have subtly acknowledged with the "some of it separated" bit.
Chris and Alexa Chung are said to be into each other, while Gwyneth was spotted kissing her ex Donovan Leitch at an L.A. Dodgers game last fall.
Now that the conscious uncoupling is out in the open, both are free to publicly fornicate (we hope that becomes a term) with whomever they please.
