Kano Pillars forced their visitors, Sunshine, to a 2-2 draw.
Enugu Rangers on Sunday lost to Enyimba FC in the Glo Nigeria Professional Football League.
Ranger's coach, John Obuh, expressed anger with the match referee, Amoo Opeyemi, for his team's 2-1 loss to Enyimba.
"We lost the game to the antics of the referee and his assistants," an angry Obuh told journalists after the game.
"My players allowed the referee's action to get to them and they lost concentration which resulted in the two goals.
"All the same, I am impressed with the output of my players and we hope to do better in coming games."
Sibi Gwar put hosts Enyimba ahead before Andrew Abalogu equalised for the visitors in the 79th minute.
Enyimba's Semiu Laide scored the second goal for the host.
Meanwhile, league defending Champions, Kano Pillars, survived a hard tackle from Sunshine Stars at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano as both teams played a 2-2 draw.
Pillars therefore maintain their unbeaten streak in Kano for almost a decade.
Ezekiel Mba opened the scoring for Pillars in the 33rd minute.
Dele Olorundare then equalised for Sunshine in the 71st minute to bring the game to 1-1.
Sunshine Stars forward, Kingsley Eduwo, gave the visitors the lead in the 81st minute, before Gambo Mohammed secured a point for Pillars during the extra time.
Rabiu Ali, Bello Kofarmata and Gambo Mohammed's attempts to score for the host proved abortive.
Sunshine's goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, kept Sunshine in the game when he saved Rabiu Ali's spot kick in the 62nd minute.
The premier league newcomer, Crown FC, recorded their first win of the season after they defeated Heartland 1-0 at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
Christian Jeckwu of Crown FC scored the match winner in the 78th minute.
After the match, Crown's coach, Lawrence Akpokona, said he expects much more from his team.
"As we are proceeding they will make things happen in the league. We have good materials who can perform better in the league, but we have just started and I know we will surprise our critics," he said.
