
–NFF boss proud of Eagles
President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Aminu Maigari has said much as he regrets Super Eagles semi final ouster in the 2014 CHAN, he takes pride in the fact that the team put up a good performance against Ghana and were not disgraced.
"We all feel bad that we could not win given the wonderful football these boys played but my happiness and my joy were that we were not disgraced", starts Maigari at the President Hotel, Naval Villa, Bloemfontein.
"They have done very well, these are players that nobody knew back home in Nigeria but now they have become known everywhere.
"So this is a positive sign that our football is growing particularly the league is getting back to life", Maigari said.
The NFF boss spoke on the future of these new stars, saying the football house will bring them back together whenever their services were needed.
"We don't intend to keep them together as national property.
"They belong to the different clubs where they have contracts and who takes care of their welfare.
"So any time we need their services we'll bring them back to national camp", the NFF boss sounded.
